About the Author RUTH NSIBIRANO MAKERERE UNIVERSITY Ruth Nsibirano is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Women and Gender Studies, Makerere University. Ruth holds a PhD in Gender Studies, an MA in Women Studies and an Hons Degree in Library and Information Science of Makerere University. Research inerests include gender and ICT, intergration of technology in teaching and learning, and mainstreaming gender. Consolata Kabonesa Makerere University Consolata Kabonesa is an Associate Professor in the School of Women and Gender Studies, College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Makerere University, Uganda. She has over 20 years of experience as a gender analyst, researcher and trainer and facilitator in areas of gender, land, health, employment and human rights, and gender and Information Communication Technology. For the last ten years, Consolata has spearheaded the use of blended- learning that use new educational technologies. Her research interest include: issues that affect gender relations and human development particularly employment, education, technology, budgeting, health especially HIV/AIDS, land tenure systems, and climate change. Betty Kivumbi Nannyonga Makerere University Dr. Betty Kivumbi Nannyonga is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mathematics, Makerere University. She holds 4 Post-Doctorates—Biomathematics- from the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences South Africa, Mathematical Bio economics- Uppsala University Sweden, Gender and Mathematics Education- University of Cambridge UK, and Biostatistics- Linkoping University Sweden. Dr. Nannyonga attained a PhD in Biomathematics- sandwich (Makerere and Uppsala Universities), Licentiate in Mathematical Bio economics- Uppsala, MSC in Mathematics and BSc. Mathematics and Physics- Makerere University. Her area of specialization is Applied Mathematics in Epidemics, Ecology, Social sciences and Health Economics. | |
