Welcome to Volume 5 Issue 1 of the International Journal of Education and Development using Information and Communication Technology (IJEDICT).

This Special Issue on Problem Based Learning and ICT has been edited by a guest editor - Lone Dirckinck-Holmfeld from Aalborg University, Denmark and we thank Lone for suggesting the issue and for her hard work in putting it together. IJEDICT depends totally on the work of volunteers who are driven by the desire to see knowledge made freely available to all.

Whilst on the theme of volunteers, we are always in need of more Reviewers, so if you or someone you know would like to contribute some time to this worthwhile project, please contact the Managing Editor at: stewartmar@gmail.com

Remember to check the Navigation Bar on top of the journal website - the issue now comes with the rewritten Distance Learning in Developing Countries website - http://members.tripod.com/stewart_marshall/index.html. As ever, the issue also brings more postings to the journal blog: "CEDICT: Communication, Education and Development using ICT" - http://cedict.blogspot.com/ - also accessible from the Navigation Bar.

Chief Editors, IJEDICT
