Abstract
Right to education is a fundamental right and all the efforts should be made to provide the same. There are many challenges present in the current formal educational system that has made this fundamental right a distant dream for children, especially those in remote and rural areas. This paper tries to highlight how an ICT based educational model like Hole-in-the-wall Education ltd (HiWEL) can deliver quality elementary education and how it influences a trait like ‘self Regulatory’ behavior among children. In this paper, due acknowledgement is given to ‘Motivated Strategy Learning Questionnaire’ (MSLQ) which has been adapted in the context of HiWEL Learning stations to measure the self regulation among children in the age range of 8-14 years.
