Technology leveraging change in Hong Kong Schools

Abstract
The emphasis in teacher development for ICT integration into the curriculum in many countries has concentrated on ‘upskilling’ teachers’ technical competence. Little has been done to assist teachers fully to integrate ICT into classroom practices in pedagogically meaningful ways. This study explores teacher attitudes and perceptions of how ICT is and can be used in classrooms. This study is based teachers’ experiences of ICT, from which representative accounts have been selected to identify common understandings of and attitudes towards ICT in educational settings. The aim of this study is to stimulate debate on various constructions of technology and education and to help teachers
