Computer-supported development of critical reasoning skills

Abstract
This paper describes the early stages of an ongoing curriculum initiative in the teaching of critical reasoning skills in the philosophy curriculum on the Howard College Campus of the University of KwaZulu-Natal (hereafter simply UKZN). The project, intended to make a significant contribution to the challenge of helping students think more effectively, involves the use of Australian-developed software called Reason!Able software usually used in dedicated critical reasoning courses.
